Running Club News 3/9/18

Monday 3rd September 2018

Having received some “feedback” on my lack of accurate route planning in recent weeks I designed this weeks routes without actually measuring them. So we had (I thought) a short, medium and long run. As it happened I don’t think I got this right either as everyone ended up completing 5.3miles whichever route they took. It was a tough route though, hills galore and a slight off road element at “Juliette’s Loop!”. However, everyone managed to get round in style. It was great to see quite a few people back for this evenings run. Lydia was back this evening after a summer away as she prepares for her Goodwood half-marathon in October. She was joined by Cat, who had to send her kids round the house several times to locate her trainers its been that long. The two ladies joined up with Nina and they completed the circuit in less than 11mins per mile. Well done ladies and welcome back!

Greg was back this evening too. He was on good form as well, as he smashed the 5.3miles in just 10.20 average. He is preparing for a Biathlon coming up soon and is in fine form. Charles, Nick and Sarah joined “pace-setter Carl” in an attempt to stick to 10mins per mile. Not bad again Carl – 9m 54s per mile was the final count. Sarah had a bit of a sprint finish to bring her time down in preparation for her half-marathon this weekend in the New Forest. Good luck with that!

Well done to all the runners this evening. Same routes next week.
