A new route this evening for the Warsash Runners. A slightly shorter and arguably easier course greeted those keen few this evening. It was welcomed and although there was a choice of 3 distances, the whole group opted for the 4.7m route. The course record was set straight away by Pete, recording a 8m48s average around the course. He says he needs to rest his ankle for a couple of weeks now. But I gaurentee if someone beats his time next week, he’ll be back!! More impressive than Pete this evening was Kate, coming back after a couple of weeks rest she tore up the course to record her first ever sub-10mins per mile average!! Fantastic!! And a huge improvement from the 11m 14s she completed on her first run over just 3 miles when she first started, a testament to how much her fitness has improved. She was spurred on by Charles and Ali who both completed fast times, for Ali it was her 2nd quickest average on record!! I feel next week Charles and Ali could be setting some new PBs for themselves on this route.
At the front, Paul was tucked in just behind Pete and kept up throughout the whole run. He recorded a very respectable 9m 05s average and has finally agreed to enroll on the GSR to bring the tally to 16 runners who are Clients or Runners with New Life Training. More information on the GSR and the preparation plan to come out in next weeks NLT Newsletter!
Well done to all tonight’s runners, Same again next week.
