Running Club News 2/2/12

The Thursday group ran in freezing conditions today as the temperature dropped to -2C before we set off. However the cold turn didnt put people off as we had the largest group thus far since starting the Thursdays session 5 weeks ago. A big warm welcome, in the cold conditions, was made to our two new runners for todays session, Sam B and Sues! Both ran exceptionally well, both averaging under 9 mins per mile, although the time keeping this week may be slightly flattering. The watch used this week was that of the Bootcamp fame (i.e. it runs a little slower than a conventional stop watch!). However, it meant most people ran their Personal Bests in the cold weather to keep warm today.  Kirsty and Sharon completed the route in an average under 9mins per mile. While Angela achieved her Personal best with an average under 11 mins per mile. Nancy was back after an ilness and she put in a great lap near the front taking over a minute off her previous best average pace. Well done to all the runners for braving the cold, see you all next week.

Apologies if the times are slightly skewed, we will know when we run the same route for the last time next week. If anyone is interested in running with the Thursday group please e-mail Mark@nltraining.co.uk.

Many thanks
