Well done to all the New Life Training Running Club runners that braved the snow to run the Stubbington 10k this week. The conditions were very cold and there was a lot of snow falling as the 1,212 runners made it round the course. The cold air seemed to just spur people on as they tried to get warm.
There were some fantastic performances as well –
Charles was fantastic, not only the furthest he had run but also the quickest. His average speed of 9m 34s per mile was his fastest ever pace since joining the running club – fantastic Charles. Juiliette also smashed her PB on a 10k run bringing her average down from 10m15s per mile to just 9m27s per mile, an awesome improvement, well done!!
Mark and Nick had a good race, keeping it competitive for the majority of the course. Mark clearly still worried that his client will beat him soon!! And Pete was not far behind either with a very impressive run that left all three gents very close on the grading! You can check out what the grading means here – http://www.sportsystems.co.uk/ssUploads/fckeditor/file/howto/Howto-UnderstandAgeGradingResults.pdf
We are still awaiting Mikes results, he has finished. In fact he did a great time, but I cant find his results, may be you could let me know Mike.
