Tonight’s run started in the sun and finished in pouring rain! But it didn’t dampen the spirits as we had a good number of runners completing these routes for the last time. We also had a new runner this evening, welcome to Dan who had a great first run, completing the 2.9mile route in just 31m13s, Well done Dan. We also had Julie J back from several months away, though you would never have guessed she’d been away with a great return run averaging 11m 43s per mile. There were several personal bests achieved this evening. Well done to Kathy and Nick who both achieved PBs with great runs this evening. Kathy had a great run averaging just 11m23s per mile and Nick is just getting faster and faster each week now and hit a new record of 8m 14s per mile. Well done guys!
We had a lot more runners challenge themselves with the longer 5.2mile run this evening. Pete set the pace for the long route with an average of 8m15s per mile, with Bruce, Sandy, Kyle, Tom and Alistair all having a great run on the longer route.
Next week we are working on hills in preparation for the Marwell 10k.

There are just 3 weeks to go to the Marwell 10k now! I need to know numbers to arrange lifts to and from the event as well as numbers of people who would like to stay after for a pub lunch. Last time we ended up with twice as many people as predicted for lunch which resulted in a long wait. Please can you confirm the following by Monday May 7th please –
1) Names of people running
2) Do you need a lift to and from Event
3) How many are staying for dinner at the Silver Fern?
