The last three running clubs sessions in Warsash have all been completed in glorious sunshine. But as the Sun comes out so does the BBQs and the numbers at the club have dwindled in recent weeks. So we have the summary of the last 3 sessions for you here today! Every session saw the runners complete the same route of 3.55miles. The route included the off road gravel track and along with the beating sun the route was quite draining on the energy levels. On the first Monday Pete and Mark were the only runners who competed in the previous days Marwell 10k and they set a course target for everyone. They averaged 8m27s per mile which is yet to be beaten. Kyle and Tom took on a longer route and were overall faster on the night averaging 7m45s per mile on the 5 mile route, very fast. Kathy and Claire both had excellent runs as well keeping each other going they clocked an average of just 12m 46s per mile. Well done also to Paul, back from a break away from running he was just outside his PB with a great run
The Thursday club also put in a great performance on this route. Alistair led from the start but Mark and Kirsty kept him in their sites and finished just 10 seconds behind him with an average of 9m 32s very fast for this circuit. Sharon also had a great run in very hot conditions, and averaged a very respectable 10m 57s per mile.
This weeks runners hadn’t completed this route yet and in sweltering conditions they all performed exceptionally well. Nick and Kyle were out front with a great average of 8m 52s per mile. Mark and Barbara were next with an average of 12mins per mile and Charles completed his first run in a while with a great finish.
