Running Club News 25/7/11

The start of the new format this evening with the Warsash Running Club. The format consists of 2 weeks of running a route, followed by a session focused on speed and developing different energy systems. The final week is a return to the original route to see if you have got quicker! 14 people started the process this evening with the promise of more to join in next week. There were some brilliant performances for a new route, in particular Wendy T and Mel ran together and clearly motivated each other to get round the 4mile circuit without stopping and in an fantastic 51mins, well done ladies! Pete and Bruce were the pace setters again this evening, but finished neck and neck on the long 5.5mile route. Their average times were still impressive at 8m 35s per mile! For the young ladies Ella had a great run, she also completed the 4 mile circuit in an amazing time of 40m 20s, next week Ella you need to get under the 10min per mile average!  A big welcome to Deana who completed her first run with the club this evening and in an impressive speed of 10m 07s per mile. You will need to try the longer route next time Deana! Same circuit next week guys, now you know the route I am sure you will all be a little quicker.
