Running Club News 20/6/11

The New Life Training Running Club experienced its first wet outing today since it was formed nearly 4 months ago. The damp weather didn’t effect peoples motivation or performances this evening though as 9 individuals all beat their previous weeks times and speeds. The biggest improvement of the night was Bruce who took 1minute 25secs off last weeks time – awesome! Well done also to the group of girls – Ella, Georgia, Jessica and Kelly who all put in PBs today! Need to do the longer route next week ladies!

Well done also to Sandy and Wendy who put in improved times. Jo had a great time this evening running at an average of 9m 30s per mile – must be the new trainers Jo!! The most improved player award must go to Kath though as she improved her speed for the 2nd consecutive week and is now nearly 2minutes per mile quicker that 6 weeks ago!!

Welcome to the Alistair and Lilly, who had their first runs with us this evening. Alistair put in a great speed at 9m19s – Fantastic, it would be good to see how much you can improve over the coming weeks.

Next week is the last chance to put in a Personal Best time on this route before we change it again! Dont forget this Sunday New Life Training Running Club are being represented at the Lordshill 10k in Southampton. If you are not running please come along to support! It all starts at 10.30am at Lordshill Outdoor Recreation Centre, Redbridge Lane Nursling.
