A very pleasant evening this evening compared to last week and the nice weather and new routes brought everyone back! The tough routes from the last 3 weeks have really benefited a lot of people though as we broke records this evening with the most Personal Best times in one evening. Half of the runners this evening put in their best ever runs on these routes. Firstly though a big warm welcome to our new runner, Marnie, she hasn’t run for ages but with the support of Bruce and Pete she completed the 2.9m route without stopping and in a very good average speed of 13m 25s per mile, well done Marnie, I hope to see you again next week. There were a choice of 3 routes this evening but the longer scenic route was left well alone as people opted for speed this evening. Out front Kyle and Tom set the course record target of 8m 20s per mile, that being Toms fastest ever pace, well done Tom! The biggest improvement of the evening was from Barbara, her fitness levels have massively improved over the weeks and she took over 30seconds per mile off her previous personal best. Angela was back from a few weeks off and she continued her recent habit of improving with every run as she put in another personal best average of 10m 17s, well done Angela! Nick had another great run as well with another PB time and another strong finish! Also doing the 3.7m route was Harry who ran his fastest time as well, an very quick 8m 32s per mile, well done Harry! In the middle group a competitive finish saw both Kathy and Fiona achieve their personal best averages as they came in very close to each other. Well done ladies, two brilliant runs and two very good times.
Well done to all the other runners as well. Next week, same routes!
