A cool drizzly evening greeted the runners for this evenings run in Warsash. This was the last run before the Victory 10k in Portsmouth this Sunday and a few of the runners were determined to put in a good time before the event. We also welcomed 2 newcomers to this evenings run. Michael, aged just 11, and Sharon completed the shorter route without stopping this evening in their first road runs with a club. Both did exceptionally well completing the course in an average of 14m per mile! Well done, I hope to see you back again next week. In the longer run, Julie J put in another brilliant performance to improve on her PB time for the 3rd consecutive week. She is now averaging under 11mins per mile on the 5.6mile route which is awesome. This would give you 1h 50 on the GSR Julie, a massive achievement! This was matched by Christine in only her 2nd run with the club! Fraser also delivered a PB as he chased Pete round the circuit for an exciting sprint finish, their average of 8m 05s per mile was the course record. Sandy was back from holiday and his average of 9m 36s per mile was a great return.
